Hello, can someone please review my tune for my 1974 Monte Carlo Drift Car.

Specs:

Forged LS1 with 317 heads and cam ( Link to Cam )

Tremec TKX 5 Speed with 4.10 rear gear

some concerns:

Is the map calibrated correctly? (GM 2 Bar 12615136)

It seems to run about 10% rich even when I pull fuel from the VE table

Lots of popping coming exhaust on decel even with overrun on

Randomly will lose power mid drift lap.

Unable to upload .msq files

Thanks to tech support figured out you put your files into a zip folder first!

Log midtohighrpm is from street tuning on 5/24/23

Log "lastrun" is from 5/29/23 after touching the VE table and IGN table over the weekend and after swapping the alternator

This is my first time tuning other then a street car a couple years ago on Hptuners so please excuse me if I missed something big. I have referred to the ms3 manual time and time again but need someone to verify that I am going the right direction.

Justin,

I have some general comments to start since you've mentioned a series of separate concerns.

A good sanity check for a MAP sensor is verifying the reading at key on engine off against current barometric pressure.

Also, there are tons of knock off GM style MAP sensors so be sure you got a proper OEM unit.

Also, there are multiple 2 bar MAP sensors so be sure to use the calibration for the specific GM 2 bar you have.

If you're removing fuel from the VE table and not getting a change in air/fuel behavior, check to see if you're hitting a low injector pulsewidth limit if occuring at idle or light throttle cruise. If this is happening under load, be sure you have a solid live connection to the ECU and save changes to it.

If popping on decel with overrun fueling disabled, confirm there's no injector pulsewidth on overrun. If IPW is zero and you're still getting popping, it may be left over from prior to fuel cutoff initiating. If fuel isn't disabling, check your overrun settings i.e. engine speed to disable and re enable fueling.

Randomly losing power could be related to a specific area you're hitting in a fuel or timing map, a safety limit being hit, or a mechanical or electrical concern so do your best to narrow it down one piece at a time.
