You mention on several occasions that when you have made a ve table in e.g. maxxecu with speed density and are satisfied with the result but later want to aim for a different fuel mixture/lambda, you only need to adjust your lambda table. I personally think it sounds strange since you rely very much on your lambda sensor. and let's say that you want to increase our lambda by 5-10% and you do it only by adjusting the lambda table. Then the short term will be trimming above 5% all the time, which I think is a sign of an incorrectly made fuel map? Please explain for someone with less understanding who has listened to too much of your podcasts and courses. If you override all the presets required for a correct ve table, isn't a ve number directly translatable to an injector's opening time?// Rasmus

The target lambda is used when calculating the required fuel. So of the target was Lambda = 1.0, when the VE table was tuned. And you change the target Lambda to 0.95, you will find the fuel pulse width will be 5% larger to hit this target. The Target Lambda table is used in the calculation of the required fuel injection pulse time (just like the injector size). This is before any short term trims are applied.
