Hey Andre,
I encountered something recently that I'm not completely sure about. I have a '11 WRX using the traditional MAF sensor and I also have an aftermarket header on the car. I've noticed that I can dial in my MAF scaling within about a 1% AFR error for engine speeds under 3000 rpm, but as soon as I start moving into the 3000-4000 rpm zone my AFR leans out by approximately 10-12%. I have an assumption this is due to a large change in V.E. in this area due to a pronounced resonance scavenging affect, but I had assumed the MAF scaling would just "see" the increased mass airflow at this range. I have been able to correct the AFR error through the engine load compensation tables, but am I missing something bigger going on here?
