I am testing my new setup for drive by wire and have wired in the Bosch electronic throttle body and also a pedal sensor, all is configured fine and the throttle body opens and closes by the throttle pedal sensor.

There is a noise coming from the throttle body which I think is from the pulse width modulation on the open and close signals, is this normal for this type of throttle body?

I have attached a short clip of the throttle body, I guess that when the engine is running this would not be noticeable.

Thanks

What frequency is your PWM? DBW throttle do often make noise like that, but you might try playing with the frequency if your system allows you to configure that. I think some DBW systems use PWM frequencies as high as 20khz, for example the MoTeC M1 allows you to configure this between 1000 and 20000 hz..

Noise from the throttle body is quite normal. Many ECUs will disable dbw control when the engine isn't running and the throttle pedal isn't moving in order to eliminate the noise. You do need to ensure that your dbw settings are configured correctly for the particular throttle body you're using though.
