All,
Having searched extensively for the above on the forums, there were mixed answers. Some saying it will work fine and others with an opposite view.
So, this week I attempted it, to get the plex v3 setup and then start work on calibrating the knock gains and threshold in the ECU.
On my setup it doesn’t work (1.6 ford ecoboost). At all. A quick test drive showed lots of false knock in vacuum at low rpm where the engine can’t be knocking.
Removed the extra knock sensor and all is well again.
Time to make a new plan.
