I’m getting ready to pull the trigger on a Syvecs WMI unit, but I have not been able to find anyone who has feedback on it. Using CAN data instead of hacking up a factory harness seems pretty awesome. I’ll be using it on a GTI with the EA888.2, so using a port injection manifold and running EV14 injectors at constant pressure is also very appealing. Has anyone had any experience with this unit? Thoughts or concerns?
I've been using it successfully, albeit with a Syvecs ECU on a TT RS 8J, but that shouldn't make much difference. You should be able to get everything you need off the powertrain CANBUS to successfully use the unit. Early versions were slightly finicky with some sensors, but that's all been fixed.
