Has anyone used one of these for doing bearing clearances etc? Seems like it would be easier to get the actual value, than using telescopic gauges and an inside mic.
Limits you to top of bore. But probably a good sanity check for changeover readings to the other internal guages.

I'm pretty sure MX are mitutoyo designs in some kind of on sale or licence arrangement.
I had a set of 25-150mm MX micrometers informally calibrated when I worked at the National measurement institute of Australia and they were pretty good.
