I have a turbo itb setup on a freshly built engine. I havent started it up yet because I still need some final bits.
I dont know how many details you need but the setup is this: Engine is a Mercedes M102 2.0 8V with forged internals rods are 1mm shorter than stock, i have a 264⁰ camshaft and stiffer springs, a 2mm MLS headgasket, itbs from a toyota 4age silvertop, a pulsar ptg4849 0.72 a/r iwg turbo. I dont have acces to E85 so i will be running 100 octane fuel (EU octane rating) I'm pretty sure the new compressionratio is 8,0:1 stock is 9,0:1

I have a really good tune from when the engine was NA with itb's.
I was wondering if its possible to break in the new forged engine with the current NA tune and some slight changes to the tables so I can get into a small amount boost to really seat in the rings, nothing more than a couple of psi.
I know I have to setup the ignition table to map based and the fuel table to tps based or alpha-n. Would this screw up the current numbers in the tables so I have to start over?
I would prefer to break in the engine and fix any issues before handing it over to my tuner, although i have the tuning course from you guys im not comfortable with this type of setup since the course doesnt cover a setup like mine.
So my final question is what to do and what not to do?

I can't quite tell from you post if the itb's are a new addition. If they are then you'll basically be starting from scratch. If you were originally using a plenum then the ignition table values for the vacuum area of the MAP would likely be in the ball park but of course you'll need to retard the timing as you transition into boost. The issue you have is the itb setup with a forced induction engine. It's not unachievable but does require a fair amount more work as the main VE table needs to be based off TPS, but you will then need to base the AFR target table on MAP so you can change the AFR target as boost increases. Ideally you'd also want to add a 4D MAP comp table to handle the fact that VE will drop away at high rpm/boost due to the turbo restriction.
