What method do you guys use to set your cam degree when the cam or cam drive sprocket doesn’t have a degree scale engraved?

You mean you have a vernier sprocket/gear with no advance/retard divisions on it?

It makes things much easier but isn't essential, use some paint or marker on the intial alignment of the two parts, this will give the relative positions and you can use them as an ititial datum. Still takes a bit of messing around, though, as you get an idea of how far you're moving the sprocket/gear.

Yeah this is how I did it, I scribed a line and used that as a datum I was just curious if there was any other tried and tested methods but this method has worked fine
