First off, I have an innovate mtxd oil pressure and temp gauge. While i know its not possible to run the gauge in line with the ecu. Can i use the sensors just on there own and wire them straight to my link g4+ ecu??

Also, id like to run a shift light straight from my ecu, are there any specific shift lights that are relatively easy to wire in? Or is any shift light ok?

Lastly, im looking at launch control for my car using a clutch switch. Is it possible to run an extra switch to turn this on and off so i don't have to go back into my ecu to turn it on and off every time i want to use it?

Hi Adam, yes you can use the Innovate sensors, however the issue is that you won't know what calibration these sensors use. This can make it tricky to get them to read accurately in the ECU.

You can use essentially any shift light you like. I'm pretty sure Autometer sell shift lights on their own that you could use. Be aware that the ECU can only sink a relatively low current through the AUX outputs so you'd be best to use a low current draw light such as an LED.

Yes, you can fit a switch to enable or disable the launch control system in the Link ECU.

Awesome. Thanks for the reply. So i know link sell a pressure sensor. But what about an oil temp sensor? Or can i just use one of the coolant temp sensors?

Most often I'd use a bosch fluid temp sensor like the -026 you can find here: https://www.msel.co.nz/Bosch-Fluid-Temperature-Sensor

These are cheap and there is a predefined calibration in the link ECU for them.
