Hi guys, after the video which mentioned the camshaft (valve train) rotates at half the speed of the crankshaft, in the demo its a DOHC, is this principle the same for a single camshaft engine like an older Holden/Ford 6 or 8 cylinder engine.

Yes, in a 4-stroke engine, the crank shaft has to turn 2 revolutions for each 1 revolution of the camshaft (which activates the valves). It doesn't matter how many camshafts are used or if the valves are actuated by pushrods, rocker arms, or directly from the lobes on the camshaft.
