Quick question. I plan on activating VVL (Nissan's VTEC) with the HS1 (high side) pin on the AEM EMS V2.
My question is: Is it okay to wire directly to the solenoid as the pin is switched 12 volt, or should I run a relay? I've seen it done both ways and wanted to get a few more opinions as to why it should be done one way versus the other.
You should be fine, I dont use a relay on my nismotronic ecu, and thats hot its activated in Honda ecus anyway on AEM but its pretty much matter of preferance.
