I am trying to tune the IAC for idle on a Gen 2 Viper using an Infinity Series 7. I tested the wires for continuity from the wiring harness connector at the ECU to the IAC connector and the results were good. I have two Gen 2 Vipers and so tested the IAC valve on the working stock Viper to confirm the IAC works and it does. In the Infinity Tuner wizard I turned off Idle feedback and configured the stepper motor with many different settings. I set the Idle to be based off coolant temp and the IdleBasePosition table to have the same values across the board testing with both low and high numbers. I am able to see the Idle Position number change when I modify these values but nothing happens at the IAC valve. I double checked the wiring to make sure the pinouts on the ECU were set properly for the IAC from based off the wiring diagram for the IAC. I contacted AEM and they confirmed everything should work with how I had the wires configured to the connector at the IAC. I eventually gave up and decided something must be wrong with the Infinity and sent it to AEM. AEM responded back that the cam and crank digitals gave errors and replaced them. They sent the Infinity back. I hooked the ECU back up and again, the IAC didn't work. I tried upgrading the ECU software to the most current firmware and bricked the ECU. I again sent the Infinity back to AEM and they re-flashed the ECU with the latest firmware. I hook back up the ECU and again, the IAC still doesn't work. I purchased an oscilloscope to detect the signal from the pins at the ECU. With my stock Viper I was able to see the waveform in the oscilloscope. With the Infinity back-probed at the pins assigned for the stepper valve nothing happens. The oscilloscope shows no waveform no matter how I configure the stepper motor in the wizard and mess with the IdleBasePosition. I do notice the drive by wire tables are populated with data. I am suspecting these tables are somehow overriding what I'm trying to configure. The wizard does not have the Drive-by-Wire 1 User Selected. AEM says without this checkbox checked the DBW tables will not be active even though they're filled out. I need some opinions and help. I've tried troubleshooting as far as I possibly can. I would greatly appreciate any input from the community.
