Hi, I just finished building my very first engine for the Evo 3 I'm building. my question is, Will it negatively affect the break-in process if I fire it up just for few minutes (probably around 2-3 min) to see if there's anything wrong with it, such as oil leaks? car is not drivable yet as the drivetrain setup is not complete. I just want to make sure that the engine is running without any problems before moving on to other stuff.

Hi. Of course you can do it but you better off keeping engine RPM constantly going up and down between 2 and 3 thousand revs to create reasonable pressure in combustion chamber for piston rings to start breaking in properly...

Thank you very much for the advice!
