Summary

00:00 - Mack has asked, is High Performance Academy a believer in hub dynos or chassis water break only? I actually, for the first 13 or 14 years of my career, owned and used a Dynapack hub dyno it's a great tool.
00:13 Basically what you need to understand with dynos is that there are pros and cons with just about every type of dyno.
00:20 The Mainline rolling road that we're using now, the software in it is much more advanced than the Dynapack, and for us as an educational facility, this gives us some really advanced techniques that we can use to really help reinforce the teaching or the concepts that we are teaching.
00:36 So good example of that was the torque optimisation test that I showed during the lesson.
00:41 If you are tuning really high power cars though you do need to be aware that on a rolling road you're going to potentially be fighting wheel spin which can be quite difficult and quite frustrating.
00:51 Of course Mainline over the last few years have introduced their Pro Hub series of dynos which are now seeing some of the more serious pro mod cars being tuned on those now, we've seen a lot of advances in the power levels coming out of those on cars that previously could not be dyno tuned.
01:08 And I think at the moment the record on a Mainline Pro Hub dyno is somewhere above 4000 horsepower just to give you some idea.
