1UZ vs 3UZ, 4L Judd V8 Dreams and More | Today At HPA [UPDATE 233]

1UZFE engine failure update, plans for the future of the car and the latest giveaway. This is Andres update that came right before your members-only webinar lesson 233 | Haltech Elite Transient Fuel Tuning’. Details on membership below.

00:00 1UZFE Engine Failure: We get into a little more detail into the failure after having pulled the engine out, but we're still short of a full teardown. Things are not pretty! It was quickly pretty evident event at the track that we've had some sort of valve train failure, but we'll hold off until the teardown for a 100% confirmation even though it is looking incredibly likely. As we didn't build this engine, we're not sure of the valvetrain componentry/specs, not that it matters too much now!

We were chasing a line on a 4L Judd V8, but it wasn't meant to be, and Andre runs you through the decision making process on where the car is heading and why, including making sure things don't get too carried away and a few comparisons between a Toyota 1uzfe and 3uzfe.

13:53 Instagram Update: It’s easy to assume that every cylinder on your engine receives the same amount of air during the intake stroke, however that’s rarely the case and Andre goes into a little more detail on an HPA101 post regarding individual cylinder Lambda sensors.

17:00 RaceCraft: If you're not following on Instagram or YouTube, you should be. @Racecraft HQ and @racecrafthq on Instagram.

WEBINAR INFO:  While it’s important to properly tune your fuel and ignition tables, an area a lot of tuners struggle with is transient enrichment. In this webinar we’ll discuss why the engine’s fuel requirements differ during transient conditions and look at how to tune the available settings in the Haltech Elite ECU.
