Circlips, or wire locks are known by many, many names that we cannot publish here due to the often frustrating task of fitment and removal, often without the correct specific tools. Here Andre calmly shows us how fit and remove your pistons to/from your conrods via a fully floating wrist pin for the example.

There are many specialist tools you can use for this task to avoid frustration that range in price, but for this demonstration, we chose to use a simple and affordable jewellers flat head screwdriver while being careful not to unnecessarily gouge any surfaces.
