just only to make sure that I understand the real length of the stroke .

the stroke is the distance between the TDC and BDC or the distance from the BDC to the head of the spark plug

which one is the right understanding for the meaning of the stroke ?

thank you and please excuse my English language

✅ The correct definition of stroke:

The stroke is the distance the piston travels from:

- TDC (Top Dead Center) → the highest point the piston reaches

to

- BDC (Bottom Dead Center) → the lowest point the piston reaches

It is not measured to the spark plug or cylinder head.

It’s only the movement range of the piston inside the cylinder.

So:

- Stroke = distance between TDC and BDC

Yes, that's correct.
