I am looking to swapping in a diesel engine into another chassis all together. Is there an ECU system that I can use to control a diesel engine? Something that is potentially budget friendly as well? Im thinking of like a Toyota 4 cyl turbo diesel.

this is basically plug and play motec ecu for land cruiser and hilux
not really a budget friendly
Maybe this budged diesel ECU will do the job for some wanting to start tuning CR diesel engines?
I have done the injector validation on this ECU and it will run the small BOSCH solenoid injectors used on most car engines. Same goes for the solenoid injector used Toyota engines so it’s fair to say it will run most car diesel engines.
As for fuel model and boost control options it’s all there and represent what common on a lot of diesel ECU systems working in mm3/stoke but mg/stroke with a 0,84 factor will be the same thing.
As for data logging it has 8 GB up to 1000Hz data logging where others will charge you more for less data logging.
As for external communication.
2x CAN 2.0B interfaces Capable of sending and receiving arbitrary data as well as serve OBD2 over CAN. Data rates configurable up to 1Mbps.
1x LIN bus interface for control of turbocharger actuators and other devices relying on LIN networking.
