On my E30 with MS3 Pro and a turbo m50b25tu (8.5:1 forged bottom end, 84.5mm bore and 75mm stroke, running 17-20psi on a g30-770 0.82ar at 82KPA elevation on 91oct).

First, I was wondering how I should set up the VVT (vanos)? Single vanos on intake cam putting out about 10-12.5 degrees when ON I believe (on/off only). On tunerstudio I can place the on/off duty based off KPA/load % and rpm. Would I keep it off when going into higher boost? Only use for low end torque and spool aid? Off at idle/decel? Then adjust VE’s accordingly.

Second, in regards to my knock setup, the base map came with it turned off - on the stock Bosch sensors (2) (m50b25tu), it looks like I can have them come in on the stock wiring to the PNP setup and Ms3 Pro Ecu - with the input type at “internal” to reference knock 1 & knock 2 inputs. Is there a way I can find a good baseline for the knock input threshold, knock gain, knock window start/duration, and coolant scaling? I currently have the band-pass frequency at 6.94 kHz and integrator time constant at 75. I have cylinders 1,2,3 referencing sensor 1, then cylinders 4,5,6 referencing sensor 2.

Additional tuning parameters -

a. Recommended MAT ignition retard? Stick with standard ideal gas law MAT correction curve values? *open element IAT sensor mounted in intercooler piping before throttle body/intake.

b. Use a AFR safety once tuned. Ex. 0.3 afr lean discrepancy for 0.3s or more over 130kpa to cut spark? Recommendations?

c. PWM idle control valve voltage corrections? Standard voltage I have seen with running car is around 14-14.3v. How to determine +/- % corrections for higher/lower voltages. *Stock Bosch 3-wire.

Thanks
