Can VVTI be set for more aggressive setup? How does it affect the cam degree process?

Hello yes for sure you can either make the cam optimal within its limitations for very drivable for smooth driving. this is simply altering the overlap between the inlet and exhaust cams, the only real problem with vvti is that they are oil-driven so being able to use them at low engine rpm is limited to the oil pressure and flow available at low rpm. if you get too aggressive at low rpm you may cause oil starvation to the bearings. For example if you wanted to have a rough idle ghost cam sound you may compromise the oil flow to the crankshaft bearings because of the large amount of oil used to control the vvti
