What is the recommendation for RPM limiting for a normally aspirated engine equipped with a Catalytic converter?

Ignition cut and/or Fuel cut?

For info the ECU is a Motec M130 and the engine is a Nissan VQ30. It will also have Drive By Wire.


Between Ignition cut and Fuel cut I would say Fuel cut, simply because you don't throw fuel in the exhaust that way.

I agree with Ludo - Use fuel cutting. Ignition cut is likely to result in explosions in the exhaust which can damage the cat.
