Are there any types of launch control that will damage a turbocharger?

Hey Ricardo,

A very aggressive launch control (usually noticeable by a lot of backfires) can cause high exhaust manifold pressure and temperature which can lead to premature turbo failure. Also forcing the turbo to compressor surge can cause premature wear

They ALL cause additional stress to the turbo-charger and, as Chris said, the greater the amount, the greater the stress. You can expect a greater chance of melting the turbine blades, cracking the housing, thrust bearing or centre bearing failure.

We usually reply within 12hrs (often sooner)
