Discussion and questions related to the course Link G4 Software Tutorial
I'm planning to buy a standalone ecu to support my boost build and the G4X Extreme looks proper for the application. As the car is mainly road used with an automatic transmission it's a key to retain comfort and safety function. The standalone ecu will probably run parallelly with the OEM ECU. The most basic point is CAN communication with factory CAN bus. During shifts the transmission sends a CAN command to the ECU to retard timing for the time period of the shifts (some ms). Is the Link ecu capable of such feature?
The car is a BMW E60 545. (Valvetronic will be disabled)

it is possible talk to link tech team i think david would be the best guy to talk to there i dont think they have any files on hand to make it easy you may need to do a bit of can sniffing and stream writing
