Hello! The waveform module went over my head. When does it come to use during actual tuning? Any example for noobs like myself?
When you are using a pulse-width modulated (PWM) output to control a Variable Cam, Boost Solenoid or Drive-by-Wire throttle. When tuning these you will often be manipulating the Duty Cycle -- and you need to understand how that duty cycle affects the waveform and what it means.
It will be particularly relevant if you are using tools such as an oscilloscope to debug or reverse engine these types of signals on a vehicle.
