Hi,

I'm learning my new Haltech Nexus S2 installed to my Honda S2000. I'm having an issue with my O2 control pausing while driving and I can not figure out why this is happening. I've investigated the logs but just can't figure out what causes the O2 control to stop and start while running the car. Could someone help me figure out what I am missing?

The car is running ITBs and Alpha-n.

I think the answer is in the channel "O2 Control State". This channel is non-zero (I saw 1 & 5, 4, 2048 -- so it's probably a bit-field) in the cases were O2 Control isn't active. I would look in your ECU documentation / help for details on what these state values mean.

Thank you! At least there is some logic now. Can't find anything else out about o2 state from any Haltech documentation though so I will trey and raise a ticket for them.

So it appears its seeing the throttle position as zero where short term trim is disabling.

When throttle position is non-zero, appears to be working ok. I'd say the Haltech is switching to idle control rather than normal short term o2 control.

For reference, for these states, rather than looking at it in Log Viewer, use playback mode in NSP. If you add O2 Control to your screen it shows the text value of what the o2 state means. rather than showing 0, 1, 2048 etc

Thanks! I used the playback and see that the o2 state keeps going to the decel state and cutting o2 control even in steady state driving. Looking at the log file "Decel Detected" keeps triggering and stopping the o2 control even though the car is in steady state. I can't find any settings to adjust the decel detection or how the o2 control reacts when decel is detected but decel cut conditions are not met.

have a look at this table

So if RPM's or throttle position reduces at a certain rate, it goes to decel mode and stops O2 control.

In your logs it appears at least one of these is occurring when 02 short term stops which is expected, and normal
