So my car is running in closed loop all the time unless I let off the gas under load at witch time it changes to open and shows a lambda of 1.5... wtf someone help lol

Justin,

You may be seeing a max value, while possibly no fuel is being injected, which would indicate a typical overrun fuel cutoff (no fuel injected on decel until engine speed gets close enough to idle speed for fueling to resume.

Depending on the ECU, this may be easy to spot or not. On some ECUs the injector pulse width reported will be zero and you'll know no fuel is being injected, lambda values are simply indicative of their maximum value. On other ECUs sometimes the injector pulse width reports a value calculated, but not actually applied as a pulse to the injector, which makes this a bit more confusing.

So I'd start by checking injector pulse width and let us know what you find.

We usually reply within 12hrs (often sooner)
