If you’re running sequential fuel injection, most ECUs will offer the ability to alter the timing of the injection event and control when in the engine cycle the fuel will be delivered. In this webinar we will discuss the theory behind open valve and closed valve injection timing as well as the effect of the injection timing on air fuel ratio, emissions and engine torque. We will then look at a practical example of optimising the injection timing using the torque optimisation feature of our Mainline engine dyno. For this demonstration we will use our Toyota 1ZZFE engine equipped with a Link Fury ECU.
