Probably the world’s BEST overalls, 1 hour to 3-hour endurance racing and another quick FD3S RX7 project update. This is Andres update that came right before webinar lesson ‘245 | TIP or EMAP explained’. Details on membership below.
00:00 RX7 Update: Almost over the line, Andre gives a quick rundown on the last 7 days progress along with a little insight into the struggles of finding a replacement for wiring guru Zac. @grisom_13 is the IG tag you're looking for: https://www.instagram.com/grisom_13/
08:38 HPA86 Update: We struggled to finish a 1-hour race, so this year we’re thinking it’s about time to step up to the 3 hour in the old girl. What could go wrong. Either way, the planned upgrades are still in motion which include improved fuel capacity (50L to around 110-115L). This is going to be a massive help even if we just stick to the 1 hour races for another season.
13:38 We couldn’t buy Earnest overalls, so bought the company instead. Good friend and ETS Motorsport Fabrication School partner Nigel Petrie of Engineered to Slide was offered the company a while back so we got on board and after a long process managed to get https://www.earnestco.com back up and running, woo!
Bit of a departure from HPA, RaceCraft and ETS Fab School, however, this gear is seriously good and even CE rated to compliment your other safety gear when you’re on the motorcycle. That said, you’ll need a little more than just Andre’s apron if you have that planned.
17:35 We started doing some more casual Vlog content. If you haven’t seen any episodes of [OFF THE RECORD] yet, you should. If our content is usually formal, you’d call them the ‘smart casual’ of the HPA video releases.
18:47 The formal releases aren’t stopping either though, and recently we released a chat with Calico Coatings to gain some insight into DLC coating and where you might use it.
19:53 The Haltech Dash giveaway has sadly finished, congrats to the winner and thanks to those who entered. We’re stoked for the support Haltech and others give to the performance community with these giveaways, cheers team!
WEBINAR INFO: The backpressure in the exhaust system is something that’s usually completely ignored, however it can be a useful input when it comes to analysing turbo sizing and turbo performance. In this webinar we’ll cover how you can log EMAP data and how it can be incorporated into your tune.
