CAN Communication, Cam Control & MORE | Today At HPA [#UPDATE 261]

Variable cam control, CAN Bus communications and advanced data analysis. These are just some of the topics covered in this [UPDATE] which came right before HPA members-only webinar ‘261 | Idle Speed Control - ECU Master’. Details on membership below

CAN Bus communication is well established in the OEM and professional motorsports world, however in the performance aftermarket the knowledge on how to set up and use devices over CAN is still thin on the ground with many opting for the ‘simplicity’ of analog and digital input/output alternatives. With the ability to connect devices from many different manufacturers as demonstrated by Andre here by using MoTeC, Haltech and Ecumaster products together it is easy to argue that with the right knowledge and equipment a CAN communication system actually adds more simplicity rather than complications.

Updates on other course releases including one on variable and fixed cam control and advanced data analysis techniques for the first quarter of 2021 are also given, and if there is anything else you would like to see HPA, RaceCraft or ETS Motorsport Fabrication cover this year make sure you let us know in the comments below or directly via email.

WEBINAR INFO: Solid and stable idle control is one of those aspects of a tune that makes a real difference to the drivability of a car. It is however an aspect that is often overlooked or incorrectly tuned, leading to unstable idle and stalling. In this webinar we’ll discuss what you need to know to get a rock solid idle, what hardware is required, and how to approach the tuning on the ECU Master EMU Black.
