When you're working on car maintenance at home, one of the first skills you will need to master is the ability to jack your car up and safely place it on axle stands so you can remove the wheels. That might seem like a simple task, but plenty of people (including some professional mechanics) do it wrong, which can cause damage to the vehicle, or injury if the stands aren't placed correctly.
