RB28 950HP At 32 PSI Worlds Lightest Time Attack R32? | Xtreme GTR [TECH TOUR]

With 950whp at 32 PSI from a Nissan RB28, the Xtreme GTR was one of the stand out build/rebuilds of the 2018 World Time Attack Challenge. Tipping the scales at 1340kg wet, a lot of work has gone into making the chassis lighter with every panel being built with dry carbon by Topstage Composites. The 2.8L engine runs a billet block, Nitto 2.8 stroker crank, CP Carrillo rods, SPS pistons and is lubricated by a Hi-Octane dry sump system.

A 6870 Precision Turbo, Turbosmart wastegate and Hypertune Plenum bring the car's output up to 950whp at 32 PSI on ethanol fuel via an Aftermarket Industries fuel cell, however the power delivery is focused on torque being delivered in the right places to help pull the car out of the corners and not a large outright number.

An Albins ST6-I 6 speed sequential helps get power to the ground via the Nissan transfer case to retain the cars 4wd ability. A MoTeC electronics package including 2 x PDM15’s, C187 dash and M150 ECU are the brains of the operation with MCA suspension and AP Pro calipers helping to round off the suspension and brake packages.

With the goal of running the car and starting to gather data to dial things in for the future, the 2018 WTAC was a success for owner and drivers Michele and Mark Guyer and we’re excited to see them again in 2019.
