Step 2: What Modifications Have Been Performed?

01.28

00:00 - The next step of our process is to understand what modifications if any have been performed to the vehicle.
00:06 This is important because key modifications, perhaps such as injector upgrades, mass airflow sensor upgrades or relocations will have an influence on what we can expect when it comes time to perform the tuning.
00:20 In our case, this vehicle is 100% stock standard, right down to the air filter, the intake and the exhaust.
00:27 So really there's not a lot to cover off here.
00:30 This also should mean, because of the completely standard intake system that our mass airflow sensor scaling should be pretty much on point.
00:40 However we've found time and time again even with 100% stock standard cars that this isn't always the case so of course we will still be checking this.
00:50 Now if you are dealing with customer vehicles, this becomes more important because often the customer won't know exactly what modifications have been performed so it's important to do as much work as you can to find our what has been changed.
01:05 And often just a good walk around the vehicle and a look into the engine bay will make it apparent what modifications have been performed and then we can keep this in the back of our mind when we get to our next step of setting up our base calibration.
01:19 In our case though, as mentioned, no modifications performed so we are able to move onto the next step of our process.

We usually reply within 12hrs (often sooner)
