Hi guys. I need an advise.I'm having a problem about air temp.I use 20degrees celsius as zero point on dta ecu and as the temp rise every 10 degrees i take out 2% of fuel.
The day i tuned the car was a hot day and i had 40celsius air temp. The night was colder and i saw that the lambda value was rich and it wasn't at the same values as i tuned.Should i try to find the exact point manually?
Any idea?
The starting point I suggest of 2.5% per 10 deg C should get you pretty close to consistent AFR as IAT changes, however remember that it's the actual charge temp that matters (the temp of the intake charge making its way past the valves) and this can vary from what the IAT sensor reads. You can always adjust your IAT correction table to attempt to get the AFR more consistent.
Understand that you may not be able to account completely for heat soak or fuel temp perfectly so you need to accept there may still be some slight variation in your AFR.
