Hello,

I was just wondering if there were any reasons as to why one would prefer to set up fuel cut or spark cut for overboost protection. Does it really matter? Should you apply both?

Thanks in advance!

I prefer spark, but I also run rotaries, so I like flames.

Ignition cut can be potentially dangerous with some engines, particularly those running hydraulic lifters or with known weaknesses with their valve trains (the SR20 is a case in point). Fuel cut is a little more gentle on the valve train.

We usually reply within 12hrs (often sooner)
