Landrover Defender offroader Project

Hi guys I m new to here. I would like to share my Defender offroad project which we ve done 5 years ago and still going haha.. we built this truck mainly for pleasure purpose for offroading trips but also for some competitions aswell.. so i try to go for best equipment and reliable i can find out there. Its a Defender with a Remapped Td5 engine, Volvo Portal axles. Got 3 winches on. Now i got in mind to re wire all the accessories and re wire the winches out with an extra alternator. But trying to keep the 12/24v system as got absolute control on winch performance and speed.

Portal axles, smart move, I'm surprised more aren't used for rock crawling.

That's awesome, I really like to defenders with the td5. Would love to buy one and go the portal axle route one day.

Do you need to reinforce the suspension pickups?

No you need to have standard spring heights and very tough shocks as the axle is pretty much heavy.. the a frame crossmember needs reinforcment as its a bit under stress .. also in front it is same as original and rear with 4 link..
