Hey guys newbie here from Perth West Aus.

Going through the stresses of a new business start up at the moment - mech repairs and maintenance management systems setup.

I'm brand new to the EFI tuning world and am learning on the run with HP Tuners, which I'm struggling a lot with to be honest.

I just finished an L76 rebuild on my own car (VE SS Commodore)which consisted of the following:

- DOD delete

- VCM cam upgrade kit (vcm5sc)

- Freshen up of rings and bearings

- Complete twin XFLOW 3" exhaust with PM headers

- VCM OTR MAFLESS (not fitted until I learn how to tune it for MAFLESS)

I Learnt quickly from a mate how to do a start up ECU re-map to get the engine running and it runs ok but still has a few issues.

I'm basically learning how to tune by doing it from scratch with this car, that way if I blow it up, then I only have me to blame and worry about.

In terms of the tuning, I'm struggling to get my head around (and how they work) the VE tables, how to tune for MAF and MAFLESS and also how to get the 6L80E trans upshift to be a lot quicker and smoother - this has got me stumped.

On the other hand I also replaced the EBCM and harness as it was faulty but haven't been able to get my Chinese Tech 2 to connect up to the new GM Techline software so as I can upload the data from Tech 2 to do a VIN relearn. The tech 2 won't even register on my laptop, I also have a VXDIAG NANO just recently purchased and it won't connect up either. I purchased my subscription through ACDELCO and downloaded the Techline Connect software and got that all running ok though.

For now I have unticked all the DTC's relating to traction control and ABS and changed them to no error reporting until I get this scanner issue sorted.

Any advice/help is very much appreciated.

Awesome stuff! Cheers for the help and good work.
