I’m currently in the process of making a ghost cam tune but I’m stuck as it will work with Manuel override but won’t do it on its own at idea I notice my tps is a little high what else do I need to correct to fix it
i have notice that the angles are at 0 on idel so i believe I have todo a spark ghost cam if you can help
ve sv6 lfx stock with 3” exhaust with high flow cats rezs and rear mufflers
pre tuned with crate motor
small update I have tried to make a spark one today and managed to get a small lope at about 1200rpm but then when idel drops off to normal 700ish there is nothing
Hi Alex, I suspect you're looking at the DBW TPS rather than APP so it's normal for the TPS not to show 0% at idle. You should be able to achieve the ghost cam affect by manipulating the idle spark tables as shown in this webinar - https://www.hpacademy.com/previous-webinars/184-tuning-ghost-cam-hp-tuners/
That’s for a ls tho I can find the matching tables on my sv6 lfx
Ah sorry, you may not have that table for the SV6. I found that HPT have put in a lot less work defining tables on the V6. It is possible that your specific ECU doesn't use idle spark control but I'd be very surprised if it didn't. If the table isn't defined then there's sadly not too much you can do about it.
That’s ok thanks for your time is there any other way I can get it to work?
If you upload your map here I'll take a look at what spark tables actually are defined.
hope this hptfile helps if it does may u please advice my on what to change and to what numbers thanks
Any luck
Sorry for the slow reply Alex. I haven't tried to create a ghost cam effect on this specific controller and the E38 has a much more complicated idle control strategy than earlier controllers. There aren't simple tables for spark overspeed/underspeed to manipulate unfortunately. I would suggest making incremental changes to the 'Immed overspeed' and 'Immed underspeed' tables under 'Idle - RPM'. There's quite a few of these tables so I'd suggest making incremental changes of 10-20% at a time to a single set and evaluate the results. Unfortunately I can't tell you exactly what to change and what values to use.
Whould you suggest another tables to adjust apart from the immed over and underspeed
