Truck is a 2008 f350. We purchased 100% over nozzles, a dual fueler kit with a cp3, and a s400 kit. We put an s480 on it with a .110 housing on it. Not surprised at all that it takes years to spool but what are some things we can do to help it spool alittle better and reduce smoke. I eliminated lambda limiting just so I could visually see what effects my changes were causing. What are some things I should be looking for right off the bat to dial the truck in closer to where we want it. Truck is strictly going to be racing and occasionally hooked to a sled.
I would re-introduce lambda control, even setting things on rich side will spool better than full-pedal fuel. Raise your shift points 15-20%, loosen the converter, and check for boost leaks (for the love of god). Most trucks at this level have several.
I really love the way those factory compounds run, you're in for a challenge getting anywhere close to reasonable spool-up.
