How do you tune a vehicle with a CP4 and convert it to a CP3? What about a bigger CP3 like a 10mm pump?
it really depends on the truck and some kits are no tuning required, you need to know what the max psi the new pump is capable of and we need to know if the regulator needs scaled. if you need further help reach out
the vehicle i am working with is a 2018 chev silverado l5p considering swapping it over to a cp3 just not sure how to go about it tuning wise
The HP4 is solid up to about 700HP, from there an upgrade to a 10 or 12mm CP3 can be useful if the fuel pressure regulator table is dialed in. Simply adding a 10 or 12mm CP3 to an L5P at that power level without adjusting the tune will introduce a high amplitude oscillation in the actual fuel pressure.
