I’m working on a 2016 Holden Trailblazer which has the 2.8L Duramax and is the Australian version of the Chevy Colorado.
For each altitude there are multiple modes shown (using HPTuners). From what I can tell the ecu uses the drive mode (2WD, High 4WD, etc) to switch maps. There appears to be two spare modes, and I’d like to create a tow mode with VNT braking like the US spec cars.
Any ideas on how to manually switch modes?
Some more testing and I’ve found a PID for combustion mode but it never changes from 1 when changing drive modes, so no idea on how to change maps.
Have found options for mountain mode (engine braking) in the TCM when in TUTD mode. Need to do some more tests.
In 4WD the trans goes into MUMD which I haven’t found a description for, the search continues.
