Hello. I have sid208 ford transid diesel. Dpf and egr is off. It has a black smoke at approximately 1000_3000 rpm. What should i try with software (ecm titanium) to reduce smoke? Less injection? More turbo pressure? Smoke limitation? Can someone give me at least a direction? Thank you very much in advence
Does the vehicle blow black smoke with a simple delete and factory fuel rates (stock power)? If so the issue is most likely mechanical and a boost test is the first place I would start.
If the vehicle has a performance tune, you can start by moving the fuel rates closer to stock. I hesitate to recommend more boost until you have a good grasp on the mechanical health and a clear understanding of how hard you're pushing the turbocharging system presently.
