It makes perfect sense that the ecu would need to add fuel when the throttle is snapped open but is it really necessary to have it remove fuel if the throttle is suddenly closed? Is the momentary period of the engine running rich going to create any issues?

Hello

it will not cause an issue but there is a gain in fuel economy by removing fuel at this point and also stopping fuel that is not needed wetting the intake
