hi gents
i know the dataloggit tuning device is what most use for tunning the apexi power fc i know there is two spots AN1 AN 2 for datalogging or wideband connection. My question was am i able to connect a external wide band sensor kit ( Innovate LM2 kit basic kit) from a usb and its own software and hardware connection seperate to the laptop and use that as my wideband datalogging to comunciate to the apexi power fc software. FC EDIT! OR i can only use the FC-datalogit) connections supplied to check my data logging that was only!
not sure if this sounds right in what im trying to explain here lol.
I honestly don’t know if you could use the USB connection, I always connected my wideband to the AN connection on the Datalogit. This way you can have the wideband data in the same graph as load and RPM which makes it way easier to tune your fuel map.
The downside of using the AN connection would be a ground offset issue, which you can minimize by matching the data in FC Edit logger and the display on the wideband gauge.
i question this also hence why i thought i ask the the question if it were possible.
i know in USA now they version 2.0 USB style connection for apexi power fc connection to the ecu but no connection for wideband hence me thinking maybe this way of the updated version could be possible now since they have made there own software to work with there new updated version tuning cable to it.
ive added this link if you were curious of this updated cable, assming you may have already know bout it..
Interfacing with the PFC is still serial - they've just strapped an FTDI chip to the interface cable. You'll still need to use an AN for piping data into the PFC and then view it via FC Edit etc.
THANKS for clearing this up! it helps gives me the direction i need to tune the apexi powerfc i was little confused in which direction to go to for tunning purposes. including datalogging etc.
looks like the fc- datalogit be the way to go for tunning then!
