Discussion and questions related to the course EFI Wiring Fundamentals
Was wondering if there is another way except continuity test to bench test a loom . Like I do know that I can put the map sensor , ect and some sensors , see the runtimes but how about the trigger as I will have to crank it and some other functions that might need cranking .
Are you wanting to test the loom or the ECU config? If you just want to test the loom, resistance testing is also very useful as it will show up issues such as damaged wires and poor connections that continuity testing will not.
You can run a frequency generator into the crank and cam sensors to get signals into the ECU, they probably will not allow the ECU to properly sync up unless you buy a higher end one that allows for two or more custom synchronised signals to be generated.
