Same size wire

So I'm in the midst of running power and ground wires for my injectors and coils. I'm using 16awg wires from the components to ground and power. I think it should be fine but should I use a 14 or 12 awg for the power?

If you actually know which components draw from each circuit and throw some of that info (including actual parts,not just type of part) here you can get a much more empirical answer rather than a blanket 'you'll be safe if you go overboard here' answer.
