Hello all, I have a 2010 Subaru Foresterxt that i just recently built, im wiring in an ecumaster emu black. I know link would have been a better option but i like shiny machined aluminum. Going through the Webinars luckily for me the sti is the demo car for the emublack, so I put together a pseudo basemap for now the car does start however it doesnt respond to throttle very well, it seems to stumble and stall very frequently. I was wondering if someone familiar with the platform could give me some feedback and maybe point out major errors i have in the file. Much appreciated.

What have you done so far?

Have you steady state tuned the fuel table yet?

Generally transients like acceleration enrichment get tuned after steady state tuning.

Thank you for replying, no I havent even drove the car yet, im still in the stages of setting it up correctly, with all the inputs and DBW/idle parameters. When I start the car it idles very high, then once warm it stalls, and the afrs cycle rich to lean im more so worried that I have the basics wrong and wish to see my mistakes to understand and learn from if that makes sense.

Got it. For idle issues, make sure the conditions for the idle system to take control are active. That's usually under a certain pedal and/or throttle position, perhaps under a certain MAP (manifold absolute pressure) and within range of idle target engine speed. There's usually a monitor that indicates if idle is active/operational or not.

Then if active and idle is too high, the base idle actuator value at that coolant temp is likely higher than it needs to be.

Where the engine stumbles and stalls, perhaps see if it needs a little more air, or perhaps a bit more fuel.

If the engine is hunting around an area of the fuel table at idle, sometimes it helps to adjust a block of cells to the same value until you settle things down, and then dial in each cell.

Thanks again for the reply, I did a little digging through the help functions and I realized i wired the TPS to the Potentiometer on the throttle body and not the APP, and Wired the APP with only the 1 analog input , this is likely throwing off the DBW calibration and has made it throw all the idle trims i think, Im gonna fix this issue tomorrow and test. As for the AFR it was like 1.5 lambda or like 0.7 lambda it was hunting big time, not sure if that could also be resulted from the wrong wiring but will monitor.

We usually reply within 12hrs (often sooner)
