Hey guys i'm a bit new to tuning for engine swaps, I got a 2017 GMC Sierra 1500 that we swapped the 6.2L out for a 5.3L (customer wanted more reliability) Can I just grab a stock read from another custmer's identical truck with a 5.3L, swap the vins and use that? I have one but the OS is different and I assume thats becouse its a 5.3L file or are there other things that won't work properly with running a different OS? Thanx for your help!!
So just an update, what I did is I opened a file of the same year truck with a 5.3L and just 'copied all differences' Not sure if thats the best way to do this but it runs perfect. Any input would be appreciated. Thanx!!.
