I have been trying to get this setup working for a few months and while the car drives great in most cases the initial hit of the throttle (0-5%) seems to come with a slight rich then lean spike, I have tried adjusting the fuel film but have not really noticed any different to the issue.

This is an issue at all engine speeds under 25% tps but gets noticeably smaller and higher speeds.

I have attached a log file for the engine showing the issue.

any help greatly appreciated

How well is the fuel table tuned in the area you are having problems with? Do you have Closed Loop Fuel enabled? Was the ignition tabled tuned on a dyno to MBT to keep the engine responsive in this area?

I assume this is under load, or are you talking just about free-reving the engine from idle?

Don't forget to upload the logged data file.

seems the file i uploaded has gone missing will try again

fuel table is OK , timing was tuned on dyno , both under load and free rev , closed loop off

my file says uploaded but I cannot see it ? , I can send to an email

I worry less about what the lambda is doing across a tip-in/tip-out event than I do about how the engine feels and responds. Is it cleanly accelerating? If there is no hesitation then I wouldn't be too concerned. On any car that i tune with good, clean tip in enrichment, I will always see the lambda spike rich/lean across that point.

car feels like it hesitates slightly, could it be a lack of fuel film, i have reset the FF to defaults as you recommend (in your webinar) it seems better

but still has a small hesitation when you tip in.

thanks for the response Andre and thanks for the excellent M1 tuning lessons .

We usually reply within 12hrs (often sooner)
