Hello, can someone help me set up my Aim 1.2 mxs Strada dash with my Link G4+ Storm? I have this in my twostroke snowmobile-dragracer and i want as mush info as possible on my Aim dash. I will use CAN and i need info about how to set up the ecu to support the dash with info. I also use AFR-can bus and EGTx3-can bus.

Have you seen the Aim documentation that includes info on how to setup the G4+? I think this will answer your questions:

https://www.aim-sportline.com/download/ecu/racing/LinkG4+Series_101_eng.pdf

If you want to support additional CAN devices, you will need to put them on the AiM CAN 2 (expansion bus on the 22 pin connector), you may have to create custom protocols in Race Studio 3 for that.

The AFR-CAN and EGT-CAN goes to the Link ecu and can be seen on the pc. Can they be seen on the dash directly from the ecu can?

AFR/Lambda is already sent in the standard preconfigured stream, you will just have to send the EGT channels in a custom stream. Yes it is fine to have them sent from the ecu to dash.

Here is a quick video to show you how to set it up: https://1drv.ms/v/s!AiYbYlZQuRHPtl1B764kIhOjbVHQ?e=MTnFwo

And here is the template file for RS3: https://1drv.ms/u/s!AiYbYlZQuRHPtl5OvfYYT8EDVWVP?e=E7MYia

Thanks. Almost everything worked now. But i did inform you wrong regarding the egt. They are not can-connected..... my bad. Sorry about that.

Egt are wired in at AN volt. They are working perfect on the pc.

Cyl 1 = an volt 8

Cyl 2 = an volt 7

Cyl 3 = an volt 6

can you help me get them to the dash?

I did not find the lambda 1 in the custom stream. I think i need it.

Thanks

So just choose the correct AN * parameters instead. Note you will need a -50 offset like my example below for the analog EGT channels. The dash set up will be exactly the same as in the video.

As I said in my post above, Lambda 1 is already sent in the preconfigered AIM stream, you dont need to add it to the custom stream.

It worked great :)

One more question, can the lambda1 be set to AFR in the aim dash? I can do that on the pc.

In RS3, go to math channels, add channel, linear corrector, then set up like my picture below (using the correct stoichometric multiplier for your fuel). This will give you a new channel called "AFR".

We usually reply within 12hrs (often sooner)
